Do you accept insurance?

Unfortunately I do not accept insurance. Clients with out-of-network benefits may be able to access these benefits with a superbill, which I am happy to provide. Families are responsible for checking their benefits and coordinating with insurance. Speech therapy is a medical service and is also reimbursable through health savings and flex spending accounts (FSA and HSA).

Will you collaborate with my child’s care team?

Given a release from you, I am always happy to collaborate and consult with physicians, specialists, teachers, and other therapists that may be working with your child. Please note that I strive to hold a neurodiversity-affirming, gender-affirming, and anti-ablist practice. I will collaborate with other professionals in this spirit.

The Autistic community has made it clear that ABA therapy is abusive and results in trauma. I do not collaborate with ABA services. I am happy to discuss this further with you if you have concerns or questions about this policy.

Do you have a waiting list?

I currrently have openings for infants and for evaluations for all ages. I am happy to add you to my waitlist for therapy!

do parents participate in sessions?

Parent/caregiver participation is always welcome during sessions. For children under 3 and for those working on feeding, parent participation is required unless otherwise noted.

What areas do you treat?

I am trained as a generalist in the field of speech-language pathology, and have additional/specialized training in feeding disorders, articulation disorders, orofacial myology, lactation, and early intervention. While I am happy to evaluate and discuss services with other specialty areas like fluency/stuttering, literacy, and voice, I would most likely refer you to a specialist in these areas to maximize your child’s success.
